Author Will Weaver to visit Kimball Area High School

Author Will Weaver will visit the Kimball Area High School to help celebrate the “All-School Read” Tuesday, Feb. 26. He will do multiple presentations throughout the day focusing on young adult fiction and the process of writing. He also will allow for Q & A and book signings. The focus of the All-School Read has been Weaver’s young-adult books Memory Boy, Saturday Night Dirt, and Defect. His novel Red Earth, White Earth was produced as a CBS television movie, and his short story “A Gravestone Made Of Wheat” was adapted for the movie “Sweet Land.” Teens who are not students at Kimball Area High School are welcome to attend and may make arrangements to do so by calling the school office at (320) 398-7700. Weaver’s visit is sponsored by the Kimball Area Public Library. It is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
