Veterans celebrated at Kimball

KIMBALL held a program at the high school with students from grades 3-12 at 10 a.m. Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Local veterans (above) were asked to sit in front of the students for the program. The Kimball Legion Auxiliary and Junior Auxiliary presented the flag-folding ceremony, and the POW-MIA table. 2013 Girls’ Stater Erin Diffley spoke. Guest speaker Jack Young was unable to attend, but the moving video of his 2010 Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., was played. The students were quiet and respectful, which says a lot. The program ended with all singing “America, the Beautiful.”W-IMG 4881
