Thursday, Feb. 14, the Junior Cubs kindergarten and first-grade players performed at halftime of the varsity boys’ basketball game against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. Members of the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams helped Coach Kuechle and Coach Klein teach the players during the program.
We have 20 in our class. This year we are learning multiplication and division, simple algebra, paragraph structure, and the physics of sound.
For our field trip, the third grade will go to the zoo. For a fundraiser, we are collecting Food Club Points. Our class is special because we are hard-working and enthusiastic about learning!
Speechers are used to frigid temperature and to blustering winds in the early mornings. But seriously, Mother Nature, enough already!
Annual Sweetheart Breakfast
The annual Sweetheart Breakfast, traditionally held the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day, was postponed because of a winter storm. It is rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kimball High School Cafetorium, and this time, Mother Nature is going to have to cooperate. Please join us for hot pancakes, crackling Knaus sausages, and love poetry and songs. Adults are $7, under 5 are $3 and tickets available at the door.
