Kimball FFA Chapter celebrates 75 years

The Kimball FFA Chapter held its awards ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in the Kimball Area High School cafeteria to honor the W-FFA 8873Chapter accomplishments throughout the year.

The Kimball FFA had a great turnout with ice cream and treats, and wonderful stories told by past FFA members and supporters of FFA.

Stories alone show just how much of an impact FFA has on the lives of students and adults.

For those going into high school, and those in high school, take a look at FFA; there is more that FFA as an organization offers than what is normally seen.

KES students use iPads

Kimball Elementary School would like to thank the community for helping with our iPay for iPads fundraising efforts. Because of the generosity of the community, every elementary classroom has two iPads which are used each day by the students for reading, math,W-Kimball-IPAD-photo science, social studies, and more. Teachers meet bi-weekly to learn from each other about how to best use the iPads for instruction. Monday, March 24, a trainer from Buffalo schools taught our teachers about free apps that benefit students greatly.

The iPads were paid for through a variety of sources including donations from the Kimball teachers union, Kimball and South Haven Lions, Kimball American Legion, and Kimball Sports Boosters. Additional money was raised at Kimball Elementary through a pajama day, a sucker pull and a Thirty-One fundraiser.
