Kimball FFA members Sami Reinert and Joelle Edwards spent five days at the Deep Portage Conservation Reserve in Hackensack, Minnesota for annual State Greenhand Leadership Conference (SGLC) June 24 - 28.
SGLC is a conference held once a year for first year FFA members. The five day camp consists of team building activities, and individual activities that focus on the individual’s strengths and weaknesses.
Through the week, many obstacles were faced, from losing your name tag and having to sing in front of everyone to get it back, to building each individual’s leadership and confidence, and spending time with other FFA members from all over the state.
These experiences have impacted these students and they brought back great ideas and stories for their own chapter.
“Fuel your Fire” is the theme this year for the Minnesota FFA. The Kimball FFA would like to thank everyone who has supported them throughout the years and encourages individuals to “Fuel your Fire” with the Kimball FFA.
