Holy Cross School celebrates successful fundraiser

Holy Cross Catholic School in Marty has exceeded their financial goal for the 2013 Pray and Walk-A-Thon. In the beginning of September, students and their families contacted local companies, friends and families and asked for donations for the annual Pray and Walk-A-Thon. Saturday, Oct. 12,
the families and staff walked around Pearl Lake and stopped and read the prayers and intentions from those who donated.

The students have been enjoying the many incentive prizes for reaching various parts of the financial goals. Some of their favorite rewards were the Minute to Win It games, extra recess, pajama day, movies at lunch, and making ice-cream sundaes on the heads of principal Amanda
Steichen and their priest Ralph Zimmerman. The students, families and staff of Holy Cross Catholic School would like to extend a “thank you” to everyone who donated to this fundraiser and made it such a success.
