Round two of the Annandale tourney culminated in a K.O. for the Crookston Pirates girls’ basketball team, as they flattened the Eden Valley-Watkins Lady Eagles Saturday night. The EV-W girls’ basketball team was overwhelmed, 63-41, in Saturday’s non-conference battle with the host Crookston Pirates. Numerous Eagles appeared in the final box score. Sophomore guard Mikayla Kummet, senior guard Holly Schumacher and sophomore guard Brook Stang posted 2 points each. Sophomore center Maria Holdvogt tossed in 5 points, while senior center Courtney Dilley scored 6. Sophomore forward Greta Stommes, junior forward Dani Nelson, and senior guard Missy Kummet, completed the scoring with 8 each. The Eagles next scheduled game is against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (BBE) on Friday, Jan. 4. The Jaguars come into the Central Minnesota battle with a 1-6 record, while the Eagles slate evens out at 4-4.
