EV-W volleyball team takes second in Becker Tourney

The Eden Valley-Watkins volleyballers journeyed to Becker at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, but the girls weren’t serving up breakfast. The lady Eagles were impressive and sharp, winning 3 of 4 matches, losing only to the host team Becker in the championship match. First up was Simley, and EV-W won by a tally of 22-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Match number two favored the Eagles in a sweep over St. Paul Central, 25-13 and 25-20.

Staying red hot, the Eagles topped St. Croix Prep rather easily, 25-15 and 25-14.

worth in the championship match, as EV-W faced a formidable team in Becker. The Eagles battled gallantly but lost in a real thriller, 23-25, 24-26.
