Eagles’ baseball team takes two at Kimball

Once again, Mother Nature, despite the rapid dawning of cherished Mother’s Day, was in no mood to celebrate, releasing the rains and forcing yet another postponement, as the Eagles played their initiall Thursday-scheduled double header with the Cubs to Frida, May 9. In game one, the Eagles took to the diamond and got right down to business, scoring a baker’s dozen, on as many hits, en route to the ultimate 13-1 decision. The nightcap saw the friendly foes fight it out in a back-and-forth affair, with the EV-W bunch again emerging victorious and completing the sweep, 7-5.
