K-EV-W girls in Conference golf meet

Albion Ridges Golf Course was the scene of the 5th Central Minnesota Conference golf meet for the Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins girls’ golf team. The Maple Lake-hosted Tuesday, May 14, event resulted in a fourth-place finish for the K-EV-W ladies.

The conference battle included teams from Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins, Maple Lake, Pierz, Rockford, and Osakis. Scoring summary:  K-EV-W’s senior Paiten Schreiner, 49; sophomore Nicole Vossen, 46; sophomore Hannah Serbus, 55; sophomore Madelyn O’Brien, 57; junior Erin Salo, 68; Trinity Erickson, 59; B-B-E’s Jordan Gruendemann shot 43, HL-W-W’s Bailey Krumwiede shot 48, Maple Lake’s Tabitha Latzig shot 45, Pierz’s Jessica Hawks shot 42, Rockford’s Rachel Clem shot 49, Osakis’s Peyton Garcia shot 41.  Peyton also took Medalist Honors for the meet. Osakis took First Place with a net 172; Second Place, B-B-E, 189 net; Third Place, Maple Lake, 192; Fourth Place, K-EV-W, 207 net; Fifth Place, HL-W-W, 208; Sixth Place, Rockford, 217; Seventh Place, Pierz, 226.
