The Kimball Cubs 14U fastpitch softball team competed this past Sunday, Sept. 29, in Minnetonka at the Minnesota Metro Fastpitch League State Tournament. This year
marked the first year that these girls competed in a fall softball league, and for many of them the first time they played at the 14U level.
The Cubs faced very tough competition this season, against mostly metro area teams. The league consisted of 114 teams in the 14 and younger (U) age group, which was divided into four divisions. The Cubs finished fifth in their division with a record of five wins and three losses. They played well in the state tournament and won one game and lost two.
