EV-W-K cross country squads sparkle, Donnay shines

The Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball cross-country teams competed at Pierz Golf Course Tuesday, Oct. 15, for the final gathering of the season, and captured a very respectable third-place finish. “Despite the rain, it was a very successful night with a lot of personal bests and good team placement. Emily Donnay is our only athlete with all-conference honors and ended up conference champ!” said Coach Holly Hansen. Ranked No. 10 in Class A cross country, Emily won the Central Minnesota Conference championship with a time of 15.56. Donnay’s nine races this season have been impressive to say the least, as she finished in the top four in eight of those outings.  Donnay won the Little Crow Invitational (15:01) and the Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball Invitational (16:36) in September. She took second in Albany Tuesday, Oct. 8, with a time of 15:59.
