The Kimball Area football team left the post-season competition early. Opening the Section 4A quarterfinals action Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Belgrade, the seventh-seeded Cubs lost a tough one to the number two-seeded Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars, 21-13. Kimball Area jumped out early and grabbed a first-quarter 7-0 lead. But Austin Kollman’s 135 yards rushing and two touchdowns proved enough for the Jaguars to claim victory and move forward into the next round.
Kimball scoring summary: Devon Kelley fumble recovery (kick good); Luke Merten pass from Cameron Hunt (kick blocked).
