The Kimball Cubs fell to 1-4 on the early season, after dropping a 44-42 nail-biter at Belgrade-
Brooten-Elrosa, Tuesday, Dec. 17. The Lady Cubs held a 23-16 halftime lead, but B-B-E outscored Kimball 28-19 in the final stanza. The Cubs led by as many as 8 points in the second half, but B-B-E hit 3 shots from beyond the arc to make a run, and take the lead with about six minutes to play. The game was tied 41-41 with a 1:05 to play. Kimball had some chances, but just couldn’t convert in the exciting finish. The Cubs played better as a team and showed some improvement, despite coming up short on the scoreboard. Kimball was led by sophomore guard Taylor Schreiner with 14 points.

The Lady Cubs close out the year with a home game tomorrow night against Eden Valley-Watkins, before entering a Holiday Upsala Tournament Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27 and 28.
