K-EV-W girls’ golf team competes in Brooten

The Friday, May 9, Central Minnesota Conference girls’ meet at Prairie View Community Golf Course in Brooten, was hosted by Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. Osakis continued their winning ways, shooting a blistering 168, and capturing yet another first-place finish. Additionally, the Silverstreaks earned co-Meet Medalist honors, in Peyton Garcia and Alayna Eldred, each shooting a 40. Maple Lake’s Tabitha Latzig also shot 40, completing the tri-Medalist winners. The conference battle included teams from Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Howard Lake- Waverly-Winsted, Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins, Maple Lake, Pierz, Rockford and Osakis. Scoring summary: K-EV-W’s junior Nicole Vossen, 42; eighth-grader Trinity Erickson, 49; Ashley DeJuliannie, 64; B-B-E’s Peyton Miller shot 47, Maple Lake’s Tabitha Latzig shot 40, Pierz’s Jessica Hawks shot 50, Rockford’s Haley Woodrich shot 55, HL-W-W’s Bailey Krumiede shot 45, Osakis’s Peyton Garcia and Alayna Eldred took Meet Medalist honors with 40s. Osakis took first place with a net 168; second place, Maple Lake, 186 net; third place, B-B-E, 208 net; fourth place, HL-W-W, 220 net; fifth place, Pierz, 240 net; sixth place, Rockford, 260 net.
