Kimball Spring all-conference

Connor Wittenberg takes fifth in State hurdles

Connor Wittenberg competed in the 110M hurdles for EV-W-K Track and Field in the State competition at Hamline University this past weekend, June 7-8. 

He made the finals with a preliminary time of 15.61. In the finals, he finished fifth overall with a 15.88-second time. W-ConnorWittenberg


Schlueter heads to State Tourney

Senior Austyn Schlueter came into this year’s Track season with a goal of making it to State in Shotput and breaking the school record.  He broke the school W-AustynSchlueterrecord early in the season and would break his own record a few more times throughout the season.  But at Sections he crushed the old school record of  45’ 10” with a state qualifying throw of 51’ 1/2”. EV-W-K track & field competed May 29 at Sections at SJU

Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball Track and Field team competed May 29 in Sections at St. John’s University and are pictured together here. KAHS Class of 2013 graduation

w-KAHS graduation lineThe Kimball Class of 2013 tossed their mortarboards in the air after being proclaimed “graduated.” Earlier in the evening, Alissa Jones, Hannah Zipoy, and Jonathan Bisila gave speeches about the past, present, and future of the class. School board members Tom Schreiner and Tim Zipoy distributed diplomas to
the new graduates, including to their daughters Paiten Schreiner and Hannah Zipoy. Superintendent John Tritabaugh was superintendent for Torey Rohloff’s graduation this year, and for Torey’s father Todd (from ACGC) some years ago. There are five Kimball Area families with graduates from both high school and elementary: the Blanchards, Foxes, Schreiners, Traurigs, and Wills all had graduates from 12th grade and 6th grade on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
